What is APS Disaster Recovery?
The APS BACS disaster recovery solution means that if for any reason your BACS solution fails, or you cannot send a file for any reason, we can accept your files last minute and submit them through our bureau.
Often described as a disaster recovery (DR) or contingency feature, we offer this option to all BACS service users, even if you do not use our solutions.
Once configured and your SUN (service user number) is attached to our Bureau, our solution/platform is available 24/7 to accept your last-minute BACS submission files. Files can be sent by email, uploaded into our DDMS Portal, sent by Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) or sent via our API. Once uploaded, we’ll immediately submit your file to BACS via our in-house Bureau.
Ensure your protected
Linking our Bureau to your Service User Number is as simple as contacting your sponsoring bank and verbally requesting the link to be made.
Peace of Mind
Locked our of your smartcard? Software or computer failure? Unexpected saff leave? A number of things can interfere with your ability to process BACS files. This is where our disaster recovery service comes into action.
Still unsure?
Would you run a business without having insurance? Even if you use dedicated Direct Debit Software to process your own collections, it makes good business sense to have a backup plan in place. When the inevitable happens and you are unable to submit your files to BACS, our Bureau can step in, meaning reduced likelihood of missed or failed collections and payments.
